Coordinators
Judy McEnany
is in her sixteenth year at Lamar High School where she
conducts the Chorale, Madrigals and Prep Choir, teaches Music History and
Theory, and is Chairman of the Fine Arts Department. She received a BA
from Tulane and an MM from the University of Houston. She has served as
All-State Choir Organizer for TMEA and is currently Vocal Chairman for
TMEA Region IX. She has served on the board of the TCDA and has chaired
the UIL State Vocal Sight Reading Study/Pilot Project since 1993.
Carol Ostlind,
Administrative Director of the Houston Masterworks Chorus,
began participatin in choral music at an early age. Holding a BA in
Music and Buisness from Bethany College (Lindsborg, Kansas) and a MA of
Music from Wichita State, Ms. Ostlind brings a wide range of expereince
to this position from financial administration, public relations and
marketing to music performance. In 1994, Ms. Ostlind was selected to
attend the Choral Management Insitute sponsored by CHORUS AMERICA.
Betsy Weber
is Associate Director of Choral Sudies at the University fo
Houston and Associate Director of the Houston Symphony Chorus. She
recently completed her Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of
Houston. Dr. Weber taught vocal music in Houston for thirteeen years and
was one the founding directors of the all-district Spring Branch Boys'
Choir. She is an active clinician and adjucator of children and youth
choirs. Her edition of Michael Hayden's Litanie della madonna for treble
voices has been published by Alliance Music Company.
