The Bay Area Chorus is an incorporated, non-profit cultural organization
supported by members, friends, patrons and members of the Clear Lake area
business community, who share in the appreciation of the art of choral
music. The Chorus is a member of the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, the
Alliance for the Arts and the Cultural Arts Council of Houston and Harris
County (CACHH).

Founded in 1965, the Bay Area Chorus is Houstons oldest volunteer
community chorus. Our repertoire includes a wide range of choral music from the
classics to showtunes to the contemporary compositions of local composers. Under
the direction of our conductor, each season is designed to offer a
variety of works that will please the tastes of our audience and our members.
The Bay Area Chorus is an active member of the Clear Lake Alliance for
the Arts and Chamber of Commerce. Our principle goal is to provide an enriching musical
experience for our community. Most of our concerts feature guest choral groups from
area high schools
and colleges in order to promote the choral art form with a younger, more
diverse audience.
