Houston Masterworks Chorus is proud to announce its 19th season of fine choral singing. Founded in 1986, Houston Masterworks Chorus has performed many of the greatest masterworks of the choral repertoire. HMC is unique in Houston. We are this city's largest independent choral society. We enjoy programming works of varied scope from classical to contemporary. We are pleased to devote this season to music that will feature the chorus in repertoire conceived specifically for an ensemble such as ours. The 2004-2005 season brings a new direction to HMC as we bid farewell to our former Music Director, Craig Hella Johnson. We are pleased to welcome him back in January as our Principal Guest Conductor. HMC is proud to introduce its new Music Director, J.D. Burnett, who will artfully lead the chorus through this exciting new season of choral exploration. Please join us for a very special year of music-making! |
HMC is a non-profit 501 ( c ) 3 organization.
