HSC Spring Endowment Campaign Continues!!
We had a strong start last week – let’s keep up the momentum as we head into our
choral marathon weeks! Dave
Nussman, our Chorus historian, and the volunteer who has spearheaded these
drives every year, informs us that last year we had a record number of
contributors, but he says that this was a number that we could beat this year
with our record large choruses for these two March concerts. No contribution is too small to help us
get to this goal of expanding participation!! (Contributions may be given to the
chorus manager or mailed in directly to the Symphony: envelopes are available on
the Chorus table). Thanks to
Dave, and to all of you, for supporting this vision for the future of the
Chorus.
Don’t forget if you have an ITS for
Kaddish next week!! All ITSs will
be held in Jan Taylor’s office (right across from the “stage left” exit to our
rehearsal room).
Re-audition news Last year we switched to
a two year audition schedule for most Chorus members. If you didn’t audition last year, your
number will be up this year!! All provisional members, Grand Chorus members, and
one-year audition rota members will need to re-audition as well. Also, just as we did last year, EVERYONE
will be required to fill out an on-line commitment form to retain active status
in the chorus. Those who do not
fill out the form by April 23rd will be required to re-audition this year. Next week’s Chorus Notes, and an
upcoming Chronicles, will have more details, so be sure to check these in
rehearsal, or on line. (If you
don’t have e-mail, get an e-buddy who will pass the word along to you!) If you aren’t sure whether it’s your
year to re-audition, you can check the lists posted in the hall tonight. Those not singing the Mozart Requiem
will be able to re-audition on a song of their choice (just bring music for the
accompanist!)
