Ticket Sign Up for Christmas Pops starts tonight!
Please sign the lists in the hall to reserve your comp. ticket. You can also sign up for tickets next week. Note that we can NOT purchase single comp tickets for Saturday night – this is true most years, because most years this show is a sell out!! As usual, if you would like to purchase discount tickets alongside your comp ticket, don’t sign up for a comp ticket here. Instead, call the box office at its normal number: 713-224-7575. (Discount tickets may also be purchased separately from the comp ticket, but you are only eligible for the discount for concert series in which you perform.)

EVERYONE in the chorus may buy up to 15 CDs at the Artists’ Rate of $10 each. Cash or checks payable to “Houston Symphony”.

Fox and Corita Dubose (and maybe some others I don’t know about?) we will have our traditional Wassail break during next Tuesday’s rehearsal. In past years Chorus bakers have helped to provide the goodies to go along with the liquid refreshments: could we get some help with that this year? There is a sign up list in the hall. THANKS FOR HELPING WITH THIS YUMMY TRADITION!!
Coming Soon: The Christmas Pops Party! Once again we will have a festive meal for Christmas Pops singers between our two Sunday concerts. This year, we’ll hold this in the events room at Birra Porrettis (1 block from Jones Hall). The menu will include pizza, pasta, salad, and a non-alcoholic beverage. (There will also be a cash bar. Cost: $15. Lois Howell, our great social chair, has organized this (thanks!). She’ll begin collecting money and reservations at next week’s rehearsal. Mark your calendars, and look for more details next week!
Miscellaneous: If you still need to buy a black folder for the concert, see Tony Sessions. If you need a chorus tie or chorus jewelry, see Patsy Wilson. And if you have any questions about what to wear, where to park downtown, or anything else, please ask your section leader: we were all new in the chorus once!!
Chorus Subscription Package Update: Chorus members sold 25 subscription packages for a total of $4,600. This earned $920 for our tour fund, more than 3 times what we raised this way last year. Way to go everyone -- what a great increase!!
