MEXICO CITY INFORMATION

A list is posted in the hall for all Mexico City participants to look over. It includes departure and return flight information. Please initial the information if it is correct, or make corrections, if needed. Also in the hall is a sign up sheet for roommates. Our free rooms in this 5-star hotel are based on triple occupancy, so if you have only found one other roommate, be prepared to be assigned a third! Tonight is the last night to sign the roommate list.

CHORUS PUB & PIC PARTY

Share your Mexico City pictures (and England, too) when the entire chorus gathers at the Black Lab, on Friday, Sept. 8. Flyers and a sign-up sheet are in the hall!

RECOMMENDED RECORDINGS

Charles has put together a Recommended Recordings List for the 2000-2001 season. If you are about to purchase a CD to prepare for an upcoming concert, consider his suggestions before you buy. The lists are on the table in the hall.

NEW MEMBER AUDITIONS

New Member Auditions will take place on Saturday, Aug. 19. If you know someone who is interested in becoming a chorus member, have him or her contact Cheryl at 281-980-9842, or chorus @ flash.net . FROM DAVE NUSSMAN...

I am pleased to report that this year’s increment to the Chorus Endowment totals $12,010.00. This is a great pleasure for several reasons: 1) It is a new high for a non-anniversary year; 2) It includes
funds from the memorials for Rebecca Groh, Lee Stevens, and Cedric Smith; 3) You are becoming more resourceful in approaching your employers - this year the corporate funds reached a new high - including matches, a donation from Winstead, Sechrest & Minick, and an ExxonMobil Volunteer Involvement Program grant.

So, thank you, all donors, for a very successful campaign. We will combine last year’s allocation for use ($1300) with a larger allocation for the coming season. Do feed any suggestions that you have for uses, within the endowment purposes, to any member of the Chorus Council, or to Charles in writing.
