CONCERT CALL TIMES CHANGED!

Because Alexander Nevsky is the second half of the concert, we will not need to meet for warm up as early as first indicated. Our call times will actually be 15 minutes after the concerts have started. As you make changes to your calendars, please keep in mind that this will drastically change the parking situation. Please allow plenty of extra time to search for your parking spot, or perhaps come early, in spite of the later call.

Also, it will be very important that you take the stairs, or the little elevator down to the rehearsal hall once the concert has started. Do not use the freight elevator if you arrive after 8:00 p.m. (Do not use the little elevator if you arrive BEFORE 8:00 p.m.)

CHORUS ENDOWMENT
CAMPAIGN UPDATE

This year’s campaign is a short one, and it is going well. To be recognized in the Nevsky program insert, contributions should be submitted tonight or next Tuesday, May 1. Contributions can be placed in an envelope and handed to Cheryl, or mailed directly. Prepaid envelopes are located on the table in the hall. We hope you will contribute! Everyone’s gift, everyone’s participation counts. Thank you.

MARILYN HORNE TICKET OFFER

Marilyn Horne will be singing an all-American program with the symphony this Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. Symphony administration has decided to extend to the chorus the same offer they are making to the orchestra. Each chorus member will be given up to 4 tickets for this concert! Tickets will be left at Will Call. If you would like to take advantage of this exciting opportunity, please NEATLY sign the sheet located in the hall.

YEARS OF SERVICE

You will find a list in the hall showing credit for years of service in the Houston Symphony Chorus. Please keep in mind that 80% attendance is necessary in receiving credit for service semesters. (Two semesters = 1 year of service. Semesters do not have to be consecutive.) Awards will be given during our upcoming concert weekend. Please put your questions in writing!
