CARMINA BURANA RECORDINGS
Chorus members who participated in this concert back in 2000 will be receiving a copy soon. The CD’s were lost in the flood and had to be reprinted - thanks for your patience!
OPENING NIGHT COMPS!
What a wonderful treat! Each chorus member will be eligible to receive
one complimentary ticket for Opening Night! The catch is that you have
to sign the list by tonight. If you already signed the list last week,
please do not sign it again. You will also be able to purchase one
additional ticket at a 20% discount, and you can purchase tickets after
that at full price. Forms are on the table - see Cheryl if you have
questions.
LADIES: DO YOU NEED A DRESS?
Ladies who do not yet own a chorus dress will need to try one on tonight, before rehearsal or at the break, in room 108. We will need a payment of $100 to place a new dress order, with the other $100 being due upon arrival. Thanks to Susan Scarrow, Catherine Howard, and Judy Hill for their help!
DUES ARE DUE!
Thanks to the many of you who have already paid your yearly chorus dues. If you are paying tonight, please give your cash or check (made out to HSC) to your section leader, as Treasurer Steve cannot be at tonight’s rehearsal.
Chorus dues need to be turned in by Opening Night, September 15, and are $10. New members will need to pay an additional $15 (that’s a total of $25) to cover their one-time music fee. This music fee is not a payment to purchase your scores - it is a deposit that helps us recover any scores or rental music that may be lost over the course of your entire Houston Symphony Chorus career!
Borodin scores can be purchased for an additional $6, and Barber scores for $9.
