REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Rehearsals at UH, 7:00 p.m.
July 23, 30, August 6, 13, 20

Depart for Mexico City:
August 22
Return to Houston:
August 25 & 26

ABOUT DEPARTURE & RETURN...

As it stands right now, and, of course, this is
subject to change, we will depart from Houston (IAH)
on two flights on Thursday, August 22, one at 12:40
p.m. and the other at 6:05 p.m. You will be able to
sign up for these flights at some point in the near
future.

The return flights, also subject to change, are
currently as follows: Sunday, August 25, 3:00 p.m.,
Monday, August 26, 8:00 a.m., and Monday, August 26,
2:45 p.m. Again, you will have an opportunity to
sign up for these flights soon. (Airfare for guests is yet to be determined.)

PAPERWORK

You will need certain documentation to get into
Mexico. A VALID passport is fine, or you can bring a
certified, official copy of your birth certificate,
WITH a photo I.D., such as a valid driver’s license.

CHORUS SHIRTS

You will want a spiffy, chorus polo-style shirt for
the trip, and you can order those from Steve Abercia,
chorus treasurer, tonight and next week for just
$30. (Checks can be made out to HSC and should be
turned in at the time of your order.)

ROOMMATES

It looks like we will be staying in rooms with two
double beds, two individuals per room. (If you would
like to stay 3 to a room, that is an option, too.)
Please sign the list in the hall to show your
roommate preference, or a roommate will be assigned
to you. Also, as you discuss this with your fellow
chorus members, keep in mind that there may have to
be some room shifting if you plan to leave on Sunday
and your best chorus friend wants to leave on Monday.

Would you rather have no roommate? That’s a
possibility, for a price, of course. For $55 a day,
you can have a room all to yourself!

Are you bringing a non-chorus buddy? If that person
wants a room alone, the cost is $120 per day. If
that person is going to stay in your room, it will be
$60 a day. If your buddy wants to do a triple
occupancy, that will cost $55 per day. Questions?

UPCOMING PERFORMANCE

The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston (which
includes five HSC members) will perform "The
Sorcerer" at Wortham Theater Ctr, Cullen Theater 7/26-
7/28. The show is about hilarious mismatched
pairings, due to the sorcerer's love potion and has
great music, dancing and fun.

MUSEUM VISIT

Carolee Weber has scheduled a group tour at the
Museum of Fine Arts to visit the exhibit of art from
the Mexico City Franz Mayer museum. Those interested
will meet at the lobby of the Beck building of the
Museum of Fine Arts (the new building) on Thurs.,
Aug. 1 at 7:30 PM. The tour will be about 45 min.
The museum is free on Thurs. nights. Friends and
spouses are welcome to come, but please let Carolee
know if you plan to be there by replying by email OR
signing up on the list at Chorus rehearsal (please
not both).
