*HOLIDAY PARTIES*

We will be having parties between the two Pops concerts on Sunday, Dec. 15 and between the two Messiah concerts on Sunday, Dec. 22.

Dec. 15 Pops: We'll have a festive event in our own private dining room at Birraporettis. Gourmet pizzas, salad, soft drinks for $15, tax & gratuity included (cash bar). Sign up TONIGHT or NEXT TUESDAY, and give your money to Linda Peters, our valiant social chair.

Dec. 22 Messiah: The traditional pot-luck at Ken Hansen's conveniently located apartment. Thanks, Ken!!

Tickets for Christmas concerts

Each singer may get one complimentary ticket for each concert series in which s/he is singing. In addition, you may also order tickets for "your" series at a 20% discount. This is the LAST NIGHT TO ORDER A SINGLE COMP for the concerts.

1) If you want ONLY the one complimentary ticket, sign up on my lists this week. These tickets will be distributed concert week.

2) If you want to PURCHASE discount tickets next to your comp ticket, DO NOT SIGN THE COMP LIST. Instead, call the Jones Hall box office and identify yourself as a Chorus member (713 224-7575). They will sell you the tickets and mail them to you or leave them at "will call".

If You Need to Borrow a Dress for the December Concerts please sign the list on the table TONIGHT! Even if you signed up last week, please check the list - we need to get information on dress size.

CHRISTMAS OCTETS

Many thanks to the HSC's "Kemah Carolers" Pat Bumpus, Anne Campbell, Ben Clark, Rochella Cooper, David Fox, Mollie Hejl, Matt Henderson, Alicia Hodges, Chuck Izzo David Knoll, Cecil Lanier, Joyce Lewis, Alan Macadams, Scott Mermelstein, Greg Mortimer, Laurie Reynolds, Ryan Stickney, Susan Wilcox,, Patsy Wilson. Thanks also to caroler-in-chief Sally Hoffecker, and to everyone else who is helping to make these caroling groups a success!!

Auditions Up-coming in January

Do you know people who should be singing in the Chorus? Let them know that we will be holding auditions on Saturday, January 4 for all voice parts. The spring season includes the ever-popular Beethoven 9th, Rachmaninoff's "The Bells", and pieces for men's and women's choruses. Auditions can be scheduled by calling the chorus line or by sending a message to the chorus e-mail account.
