It sounds like you downloaded a whole bunch of pictures at one time -- I'm not quite sure how. That's not what I did. I got a single large image on the screen, right clicked on that and saved it. Using Internet Explorer. You might want to try Internet Explorer. I used Firefox for a while but there were some things it did I didn't like (I've forgotten what) and I went back to IE. Note that the Web site it self certainly cannot make separate folders and create files in them -- the browser has to be doing that, which means that Firefox is doing it. Possibly following some sort of instructions from the site, but I personally don't know what those instructions might be.

If you tell me EXACTLY what you did I'll try it with IE and tell you what happens. Maybe I'll try it with Firefox if I feel particularly brave.

What kind of unwanted files were they? On the face of it this sounds very bad, especially for a service you have to pay for like SmugMug. (Most people I know use Flickr, which is free if you are willing to accept some restrictions and ads, and you can pay for it if you don't like those "features"). HOWEVER, I downloaded both "large" and "original" versions of one of the photos and didn't get any surprises. How did you do the download? I just displayed the picture, right-clicked on it and chose "Save Picture". (This is in Windows Internet Explorer 7).

Hi all. Welcome back to those of you who went to Mexico City - - sounds like you had a great trip!!

Richard and I have just figured out how to get the (600 + :-) photos that we took in Europe during the HSC tour off our camera and onto the computer (we are digital camera newbies...). Now I need some advice about how to sign up for an online photosharing service - - and which one to use - - so that I can share some of the photos of this fabulous trip with all of you.

All suggestions welcome. I would like to use whatever is the EASIEST possible thing- - think "photo-sharing for dummies", here.
